SCROOM Makeover

Was chatting to Ashraf during the wee hours of the morning (what do u expect? HOLIDAYS!) and he somehow asked me for ideas for revamping the Council Room. We decided instead of circulating the idea around by msn,word..blah blah blah then in the end my idea turn out like kiam chai, I'll post it here, and you can flame it or worship it. whatever =)

For those newbie councillors who dont know me, I am Reena. 18 this year. Female if you havent figured that out by now. I joined GVSC erm, how to say... 2005 being my first AND ONLY year. I was abit of a latie but nevertheless a councillor lah. =)) Got chance to boss boss people around good enough. Got a chance to learn some lifeskills is better than no chance. Currently residing in Perth, Western Australia and lovin it.

Im sorry but I be frank. I never liked the current colour scheme of the council room (which for this post, we shall affectionately call it SCROOM. You know, SC-ROOM- SCROOM. GETTIT???)

People who go in there and do nothing beneficial are labeled SCROOMERS. Remember. Dont be a scroomer. LAZY!~ (just a lil terminology me and ashraf made up.)

Reminds me of a hospital everytime I step into it. So cold, uninviting, and yadda yadda. How to inspire leaders??!! I just hope whoever thought it up doesnt fly all the way here to strangle me alive.

I critisize everything and anything so if you are reading this dont be TOO offended.
Its part of my DISC personality lah. I always think Im the best at everything ok even if im super sh*t at it. Bear with me abit... BTW, my DISC profile is a C/D. Not CD aka Compact Disc arh. I am no compact disc. I am Reena.

But ANYWAY!
My brain juices flow best between 12am and 3am and this was perfect. I fired up Paint and started doodling my idea.

Basically what I intend in my idea was to have 3 white walls and heck of a colourful wall. In this case, Dark Navy blue. Dark navy blue connotates authority and respect. Plus its the council tie colour anyway. MATCHING!

But if todays generation of councillors is more fun fun and want to be more relatable to the students (HAH! ESPECIALLY GIRLS!) , I say instead of a blue feature wall we have PINK! like the 10th anniversary tee.

Talking about pink tee, how come I didnt recieve one? Everyone knows what a pink obsessed creep I am. And NOBODY TAKE THE INITIATIVE ASK ME IF I WANTED ONE. ESPECIALLY A PINK ONE!

Anyway here is my idea GRAPHICALLY. Click to enlarge. The words under the picture are just some descriptions I couldnt be bothered drawing in or else I will be sitting at my computer until my bum goes FLAT. Now that wouldnt be too nice would it?

By the way, the green thing is plants outside. Not spray the window green. I know its GREENVIEW but thats doesnt mean your view out the window needs to be green.

Its a very simple minimalistic look. calm and orderly and organised and the flash of colour feature wall can inspire ideas. WOOTS~

Oh if you can see in the picture, the blue wall has lines on it. My idea was to have EVERY single councillors name stencilled neatly in rows, machiam memorial hall but of course not to REMEMBER THE DEAD LAH! Let think of it as a Hall of Fame or something. Once you get your yellow badge you can go stencil your name up there. Some councillors quit after a few weeks or months so it would waste space and 'blue liquid paper' stencilling your name just when you are inducted. But you can always scrap that idea and just stencil yourself the moment you get to wear that blue tie lah.

I like my things to be in neat perfection so if you buay tahan then you can make the names in all sort of formations on the wall lah. Flower, heart, you favourite Laksa from the canteen auntie, YOUR FAVOURITE TEACHERS FACE ,... so many possibilities! *cheesy grin* but be aware the wall has LIMITED space and I think theres gonna be many many more councillors in the fuutre.

So maybe stencil your name in say, size 12 Times New Roman font. And doesnt mean you higher rank aka EXCO can stencil DUA DUA ok? Where got such thing one? Everyone same size lah! ^^ I am right, right?

Oh and for the finishing touch, stencil SCROOM on the DOOR! I like the name. sounds kinda cute and friendly.
