The Revolution of Bargain Hunting

Hello my gorgeous schmooky pookies! =D

LOL

Anyway, due to popular and immense pressure from the outside world, I shall update you on my ever so I-dont-know-why-its-so-interesting life

Seriously, I am here to tell one and all, I have, and am proud to announce that Reena has totally revolutionised the great art of Bargain Hunting. =)
You ask how? why? what? Ok I shall tell you my absolutely fantabulous tale of how I snagged the biggest deal of my life - YET

On Saturday Aimi and I went to the city shopping area (Forrest Chase) to pick up her ball dress. Its nice. Red and long, with beading on the bodice and halter style. Too bad the alterer said its not ready. Aimi totally broke down in a flood of tears and went to her knees to beg the woman to let her bring it home that day. So drama mans.

Ok, that was a lie. All is true except the breaking down into tears etc... ^^
Anyway, after that went for some big walking exercise around the place practically walking around every building withing a 2km radius of the train station which I tell you, is alot of buildings, and alot of walking. My legs hurt so much after that. like FOUR HOURS of nonstop walking.( now you know how little exercise I do eh) and then blew a bomb on lunch (I swear never to go to the city to eat again, I just made a huge hole in my wallet, almost cried from the heartpain of the cost of lunch.)

Ok it was $12 altogether but for a measly plate of creamy potato and half a standard slice of lasangne measuring a puny 5cm x 7cm making it 35cm square, bloody small lor. And a bottle of Ice Green Tea. FAR OUT EXPENSIVE. I could count the number of slices of potato in a glance of my plate.

Following lunch, walked around abit more, went to Dome to have a coffee, in my case I found out that Dome has something called the Babycino!! Its a teeny weeny version of a cappucino (actually its hot chocolate but meh, so cute!! and best part? Only cost a measly 80c! Complete with frothy BUBBLES!!!!, cocoa dusting and three marshmallows! If anybody's birthday coming I will treat you to a Babycino. No Prob!
Sorry, getting excited, Kiasu Singaporean what you expect? Ok, that was Reena's Bargain Find Number One. But it gets better.

Ok anyway, seeing that I didnt go to this years ball, I was lacking all the ball-ly feeling that all of the 17 yr old population in Perth had so I needed to find a way to satisfy this craving. So after Aimi went home that day I had to linger around like some loner whom nobody wants to shop with waiting for Papa to pick me up after his doctor appt. So I strolled into a Ball dress boutique (with all the poise of some rich snobby girl) and looked through the racks to see-in the essence of the ball that I missed. (Cos of Jambo) and then saw the discount rack and

BOY OH BOY MY EYES FELL ON THE BIGGEST BARGAIN OF MY LIFE

I swear all the girls will cringe when you hear this. NEH NEH NI poo poo. LOL
I found MY SIZE (well almost my size) full on ball dress, light fairy-ish purple complete with diamante beading and folds and drapes and everything, like the $300 one at Noni-B that lotsa people buy, at originally $289 BUT guess how much I found this for?

$59

I totally just re-wrote all bargain hunting records by a kilometre. The dress was new, nothing wrong nice colour and perfect and going for 80% less. Now you can be absolutely jealous. To bad that day I didnt have any money with me, well not enough so couldnt get it but the next few days I had nightmares cos of it. I was so afraid that somebody would come along and take my precious find away from me. STOP LAUGHING. ITS NORMAL TO HAVE THESE NIGHTMARES!!!

But nevertheless I was intent on getting my hands on it no matter what. So in true typical Singaporean kiasu style, I went back to the shop on Wednesday after school with Tamara armed with a fat wallet of dosh and proudly walked out 15 minutes later with a bag on my arm and a
big big grin on my face!!!!!!!!!! =D

Can you sense my excitement and joy??????
CAN YOU??!!!!
CAN YOU??!!!!

I will post a picture of me in it soon. Stay tuned. I look just so prettiful =)

The waist bit is abit too big for me (Im slim you see) and the hem abit too long but thats fine, I can alter it. Anybody know people who can do it for me for less than $30? Buzz me. Im not paying the $180++ that people in Perth charge. Bloody money suckers.

On a postnote...
Can you believe it some girl from my school spent $4000 on her ball gown! Should have donated it to the Reena Charity Fund. Though she was like super shorty and kinda ..fat? Like half my height. Today was class photos and she was directing traffic and I was like.. pff puny!! (of course to myself) I saw her picture in the dress. Its like the Beauty and the Beast that yellow dress but in dark rich red and is strapless. Meh, I think it would fit me better. Apparently from stories it was so huge that she could barely get up and walk.

Reena : 'See lah, kiasu la, cannot walk la....'

Yeah I know Im evil but Im just oh so proud of my 1.7m height, especially for a asian girl, Im a one of a kind specimen. I mean its not everyday you get any asian girl going over 1.69m =) Though I used to hate my height cos everyone was short and I thought I was abnormal or some alien. But now I love my height!!
After putting on my heels, I measure in at a gorgeous 1.75m!! NOW GO GREEN WITH ENVY.

Oh by the way, when I got off the train on Saturday at the city, there was this woman standing infront of me who was like 2m tall, and wearing this super small miniskirt the size of a band-aid. She was so freak ass skinny I bet if I so much as burped she would topple over.

Anyway, my last bargain of the day was a hair curling tong for $6. Not that you needed to know but as you can see Im one of the most talented bargain hunters ever beqeuted (is that right spelling?) unto the female race by God. =D

Apparently me horoscope said I would find a top bargain on a saturday shopping trip. AND I DID INDEED! How true!

Oh well, I think I shall end off here. Happy screaming at my bargains! And if you wanna take me out with you to shop, just sms me and I will be there pronto!

PS: All my singaporean bumchumms... School term ends early november this year (if Im not wrong) so I might be able to go back for Council Retreat and possibly Prom Night!!!! (Im alumni you sweeties!) YAY!

PPSS: I just found out from MUSEUM OF TWITS.COM that lub means 'wipe' in Malay so to all those who always say to their laogong/laopo 'I Lubb euu' , Take note you are actually saying
"I Wipe You"
Not exactly what you wanna here from the person you lubb eh? Mans I was laughing my ass off when I saw this!

Till my next blog post.....

Reena WIPES you!!!!!!!!!! <3
