Canberra and Sydney 2007

Finally! spent so long blogging this and it isnt even that long! I think Im going to go a blogging hiatus cos Ive blogged so much especially pictures the past few days! *phew*

Jamboree was great except that I can't view my blog cos I think this blog entry is way too long so I had to cut out the Jamboree section. :( oh mans...

But we shall skip that for now and talk about Sydney first!

SYDNEY!
Anyway after Jamboree ended Monday 9th, Me, Aimi and a few others headed of to Sydney! She slept with her eyes open all the way in the bus while I ate a Mars Bar...kinda :D

Upon reaching Sydney, Aimi and I went off with our hosts while the rest (Raekha Fong and Rui) went to check into their hotel.

In the train to our accomodation. Basically doing nothing but looking out at the big black walls of the train tunnel. It was like almost 12am and pretty shacked out by then. *yawn*

Sydney trains are pretty cool in my humble opinion. Maybe im just 'sua ku' ( definition: mountain tortoise, someone who clearly hasnt seen much and gets excited over small things) but their metropolitan train cabins are double story! Like you go in the door and theres a lower and upper level. Views from upper level are pretty cool especially when your going through the city and WOWWEE!!

Next day went out around the Chatswood area with our host, Tom :)

t-o-m

I half-treated him a Seafood Okunomiyaki. Its basically an omelette with seafood alll over it. Super filling and yumness to the max! Look at that concentration on his face, I think he just hasnt seen food in a long time...*mmmmmmmmm* Apparently theres potato chips in that flavour =//

Afterwards he went back to his own business while me and Aimi went shopping! I swear Sydney shopping is the SHIZ! Everything was on a massive sale and Im talking 50-90% off everything and I got so excited that Aimi said she'ld pretend not to know me if I didnt stop my nonsense :P!!!!

Woops. :D

Anyway, saw this pink shop and I had to go into it. The '$1.99' and '$2.99' signs plastered all over kinda made it even more tempting. Everything inside was cheap CHEAP CHEAP!!!! Mads! I spent about $25 in there on numerous things which are too many to name. Crystal bracelets, earrings, a SUPER PIMPY GOLD AND DIAMONTE BRACELET! and other bits of girly stuffs :D

MAD MAD MAD! WANNA BRING THE ENTIRE SHOP BACK TO PERTH!

Getting on, we stepped out feeling all happy and THEN we saw Krispy Kreme Doughnuts! Everyone raves about these doughnuts so I popped in to try one ^^ I think its American *shrug*. Moment I saw Krispy Kreme, I thought of Homer Simpson and his doughnuts and how fat he is and suddenly I had this visualisation that the moment I put a KK doughnut in my mouth I would expand and look like Homer - Female-ized. =//

The doughnuts are a lil steep, like almost $3 each. But they were really scrumilicious so it was worth it :)

I should have tried a Doughnut Sundae :(

Iced Chocolate Custard doughnut. My Fav :)
You teeth just sink in and one is instantly transported into the world of Homer Simpson, minus the beer.

Chatswood. Mini Shopping Paradise in disguise.

I tell you this shelf here is no ordinary shelf! it moves! it moves! Like the shelves themselves stay in the same spot kinda but the poles move round and round so its like the whole shelf is swinging its 'hips'! Just like something straight out of Harry Potter :D

Somebody buy me one for my birthday. PLEASE

Tuesday Night!
So afterwards me and Aimi headed back to Toms place where he bunks with Darren and their landlady, Karren. She kindly made a gimungous vege lasagne and I swear it was so good, I'ld for one split second considered going vegetarian.

But then like all those who have no will power when it comes to food, a meat-less life just isnt my thing... :D

Karren is awesome, Shes like 30-*ahem* hippie woman but shes, pretty convincingly, a 17 year old at heart :D

Thats what I think anyway. You see all that cutlery in the above picture? SHE MADE IT HERSELF!

Good food makes me happy. ^^
Next day we bade farewell to our lovely hosts, one of which was still sleeping when we left early that morning. And headed off to Sydney Central to catch up with the rest of the Perth entourage, Rui, Fong and Raekha ^^

Went to SkyPhoenix, posh dimsum restaurant and the food was great! At first we spent like eons going up and down a super long Sydney street trying to find this place cos it was recommended in the guidebook for travellers so there was I, trudging along, thinking "this place better be good!"

Got there, the food was perfect, though not oily enough for my liking BAHAHA so then there was I dipping everything I ate in chilli oil and yeah but it the whole thing was beyond my expectations. :)
A must try if you go Sydney.

The address is something along the lines of:
77, Skygarden Building. Uppermost floor. :)

Goodluck with trying to find the place ^^ jahahaha.

Good food followed by good ol' shopping in Sydney..... :D

Another item on my Christmas and Birthday wishlist: a revolving clothes rack.
Yup, the teeshirts move round and round along a chain system in the display window, all arranged according to colour. FUNKAYE EH?

Gimungous chocolate statue! SOLID CHOCOLATE!!!!!

Sugar cravings set in and we went for gelato.

Oh and this! I saw that chocolate fondue fountain in the gelato stall so the kind man behind the counter, he ducked and gave that 'kawaii' gesture as I zoomed in a snapped a pic of the chocie fountain. CUTE!

RANDOM PHOTOS TAKEN IN SYDNEY. =D

Raekha appears shocked to be caught by the Reena Papparazzi. :O and thus she puts on her most feminine 'hand to chest' gesture to appear as if she was mildly offended.

"oh dearie me oh my..."

Somewhere near the Harbour Bridge we camwhored. Or well, I did anyway....

The Big and the Beautiful.

Aimi and I.
I posed for this pic to look like a overly excited tourist. :P
mans... my face looks fat. Pretend you didnt see me here.

Ok then at this point my camera battery kinda had like 2 mins battery left so didnt take any more piccies. :(

Then plane trip back to Perth that evening and I was achoo-ing nonstop all the way back and prolly spread some wierd-ass disease to the lady sitting beside me in the plane. =//

Mans I miss Sydney and Canberra. :( Aimi and I have got the travel bug now, thinking after next years Jamboree we might hop off to Melbourne, might try take a trip to New Zealand if we can save up enough by then ^^

Travelling without parentals is awesome! I feel BIG URGE TO GO OUT ALONE TO RANDOM CITIES NOW!

Anyway I did take plenty of pics in Sydney but these are the best to summarise :)

Funs over :(
Back to the books.....

*sigh*
