Cleaning Up For The Matriach

Busy like mads!

Recently took this book out of the school library to RE-READ cos its just sooo gorgeous. I swear if ever a novel be put into eternal history its this. This and this only. ^^

Last week it was a scorching 42 degrees for 2 whole days then it went down to 38 then it dropped abit more. Obviously my body couldnt take the rapid change in temp and I got majorly sick. Actually it was just the sniffles but a pretty bad case.

But anyways. no worries....

Cos, as always, chocolate cures everything =)

Ytd the old old matriarch aka the ah-mah aka the grandmother flew in from Singapore, obviously to see her favourite grand-daughter

Then being me and knowing what a mess-pot I am I thought I had better clean up my room a lil. You know, get my life in some sorta order. Dont wanna give the old woman a heart attack on the first day here.

Actually my room wasnt messy. Just my horrendous dressing table looked like a warzone.

Ok this is the 'after cleanup' picture. No way am I going to show the world my messyness! GEEZ!

Gawd Ive got alot of stuff. Can your dressing table rival mine?! Can it?!

No.
So shut your gob ^^

My recent acquirement of bracelets. You see the top one? Yeah its all BLING BLING. Only cost me $17 from a surf shop. Saw it. Fell in love with it. Bought it.

My collection of earrings. All set out Monday to Sunday. Public holidays included too!
Yes I do have safety pin and dice shapped earrings, if you were wondering. I like quirky shapes.

Ok I was joking abt the monday to sunday + public holiday thing. I just close my eyes every morning and take a stab at what to wear for the day.

The essential tools that transform a tired face from one that turns stomachs, to one that turns heads.

I have 8 LIPGLOSSES! EIGHT! Ofc in a myriad of colours, flavours and patterns. Currently my favourite is Maybelline Diamond Shine. (the white one infront) Clear shimmery and odourless and with max bling!

If you is a guy and you is reading this please understand and appreciate, that to a girl, lipgloss is one of the next best thing to chocolate.

...and my one trusty eyeliner. Theres three but the other two are redundant and never used.
I know theres a pen in the holder in the pic but that from work and I put it there cos when I do my hair up before going to work the last step is stick a pen into my ponytail so yeah.. all fits in place. ^^

7 nail polishes and 2 foundations. You aint seen Aimi's nail polish collection. its an entire shoebox full! Like a big shoebox! Im not very into nailpolish. Im more concerned about my face hahaha.

Elizabeth Arden Green Tea.(100ml) I bought it on sale for only $19! And there was this pharmacy around the corner selling the exact same thing for $48!

Apparently in Singapore it was selling a few yrs back, for over $100!

Heck yes Im good.

I dont know about other girls but I use 4 types of brushes. Paddle brush on far left is for random/general combing. Second brush is round barreled for when Ive got curly hair and the other two... well, picking out small sections or when I just feel like being a lil less rough thats all!

Lat year I did a lil 'stocktake' on my dressing table inventory (you obviously can tell Im a very loyal and dedicated accounting student) and the total cost of all my beauty apparatus was like....$300! thats including even the stuff in the drawer below my table full of unopened hair gels and what nots. I didnt buy them actualy, I just somehow.... accumalated them =_=

WOAH seriously I didnt know I had made such a huge hole in my pocket all this while! Im a lil more stinge on my wallet now.

Cos all the money goes to clothes! haha.

Anyway. back to business, The old lady enjoying a good ol steamboat dinner that night, under the clear cool Perth night skies...

And as all paranoid-ish grandmothers do, they bring alot of things/presents wherever they go. Including overseas. Stuff like....

.... the infamous Croc shoes. Honestly I dont see whats so great about them. They look like cast off remnants of car tyres shapped into a piece of footwear which has a horrible shape and colour and the comfort factor doesnt even compensate for its hideous shape. Pfft.

Why the heck is everyone so madly in love with them? Geebus.
Even my 4cm stilletto-style high heels are more comfortable. and nicer looking....

To quote Brittany: obviously.

Anyways so she kept unpacking her bag.
The old lady brought a clock! A CLOCK!

At last knowledge, I thought Perth was also part of Earth..... but anyway, I find it rather cute she brought a CLOCK! hehehehe.

Obviously fake but a very colourful necklace for me. Rather indian-ish looking but I kinda like it. So colourful!

No pic here but she also got me *gasp* A $230 PAIR OF GOLD EARRINGS!
Gawsh shes rich.

That old ladys passed on to me like 4-5 pieces of her jade and solid gold jewellery to me over the past few years ok. Maybe, I really am her fav grand daughter?

Ok I was joking. Serious.

Alright here I just spent over an hour blogging this. Gots to sleep. Sleep is another essential beauty tool. Best thing, its free. =))

3 more weeks till the Ball and my Canberra and Sydney trip!
Oh joy
