The Day I Almost Died

Yesterday Me Aimi and a few other friends went to a friends house to have some gathering BBQ. Said friends house is like a ranch. A big house on a big patch of land. It was just beautifullllll =)
Something like the above but smack bang int the middle of bush and sand. Really nice.They had chickens, three dogs and shrubery and like a mini jungle for their backyard. Yes they live like an hour away from the city but oh well.

We arrived there and had some feast of sausages, like 10 different types of potato salad (imagine, how many things you could do with potatoe?!!) and 3 big plates of cheese and bread and whatever else I COULD THINK OF....

Me and Aimi practically coouldn't pull ourselves away from the table. Half a sausage here and there, half a bread bun shared, half a this, half a that, my jeans button almost popped. I swear I almost couldnt get myself out of the seat. =/ VERY TEMPTING SPREAD INDEED.

Anyway, highlight of the day was these ride on petrol powered buggy things. Big wheels = BIG KID TOYS! See the picture and you'll get what I mean. These hot babies can go as fast as a car.

So , being the ever big hyper kids we are, me and Aimi sat on one. Apparently, Raekha (another girl there) couldnt control hers, she kept going into fences and trees and making huge holes in the ground by whirring the wheels round and round on the spot. -_-

I sat on one and reved it up I tell you the buggys vibration and life, I could have got aroused right there. That thing sends your hormones racing like mad. Anyway, I WAS EXCITED AND ALL READY TO GO!

Anyway, we went one round around the estates bush track. Then being the ever extra person I am, saw a detour and decided to explore.. INTERESTING...
We were supposed to follow path 1 but I went along path 2. Refer to diagram below.


And Aimis begging me all this while to JUST FOLLOW THE TRACK LA.
Me = Stubborn.
So I keep to the detour instead...

We went all the way to about 2m from the end. Which was blocked by a whole wall of thorny bushes about 2m high. The leaves are seriously PLASTICISED and sharper than knives. Wonder what bush It is.....

Then I intended to press the brakes (on the handle bar like those on bikes) but as everyone knows I dont have much skill when it comes to coordination. The accelerate lever to move the buggy forward is just where the thumb is below the brake lever.

So I BLURR LA.

I pressed down hard on the accelerate lever. thinking it was brake so I could turn around and get out of the dead end.
But I blur blur pressed ACCELERATE
Take note : these big kid toys get up to 60km/h in like 10 secs....

I ZOOMED STRAIGHT INTO THE BUSH.

I was only wearing a teeshirt , jeans and nothing else much. I went full on straight into the thorny hellava bushes with no protection whatsoever. Slammed my foot against the trunk and ended up with twisted ankle and screwed up toe. Thank god my face was bent down and only got a few scratches on my scalp. WORST HIT BIT?

My poor arms. They were fully outstretched cos I was holding on the handle bars so got the full slash of the thorny leaves. Seriously I look like Ive been depressed and cutting myself. >< Especially my right arm. Such nice decorations....

I think I even uprooted the bush ^^

Aimi just fell of the buggy laughing. Actually so did I, It was one of a kind funny! I wished someone had videotaped that. We were laughing like nonstop in the car ride back. =)
YES REENA WAS STUPID. =D

Apparently she thinks I shouldnt get my driving licence now, and Im a big danger to the drivers of Western Australia according to her. =)

Oh well I had fun.

IT WAS THE BEST. RAMMING ITO A THORNY BUSH. ONE OF A KIND YOU WONT GET ANYWHERE ELSE, WITH ANYONE ELSE!

Alright, Im going to nurse my wounds now.
