Sorbet And Shortbread

SORRY EVERYONE!


Ive been up to a fair bit. hehe.. I just also returned from the MYG Jamboree held in Canberra over the weekend, and I stopped by Sydney on the way with Aimi to catch the flight back.



I don't know how, but I spent $150 in total in 2 days outside of the Jamboree time! Like, that means 2 days of not being in the camp I spent $150.. ON FOOD! How the heck does anyone spend that much on food in 2 days?! TELL ME!!

So anyways, Ive got abit of ranting to do as per usual. Been a while since something peeved me off lol.

Some may know what the whole sorbet and shortbread title means but if you don't heres the story. (:





For some silly wierd reason, PEOPLE SEEM TO THINK THAT COS IM ASIAN I DONT KNOW WHAT SHORTBREAD AND SORBET IS!!!!!

There was once I was having lunch with a few people my age, and some middle aged ladies, and this lunch was the sort where you bring a dish and everyone shares. So we were happily sitting down eating and I asked the guy opposite me whats that bread-looking thing on his plate cos it looked good. (it was covered in other food so I couldnt see clearly) and this middle aged caucasian lady next to him replied "its shortbread, its type of melt in your mouth bread thats sweet..."

AND THEN SHE CONTINUED EXPLAINING IT!

I didnt wanna be rude and go "I KNOW WHAT SHORTBREAD IS! IM NOT A MOUNTAIN TURTLE FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!!!" (mountain turtle is asian term for 'ignorant')

So I just kinda listened and nodded like shortbread is the most fascinating thing since Dolly the cloned sheep. :D

*Bah Bah*

So moving on yeah, and then, when I was in Sydney 2 days ago, me and Aimi indulged in some Krispy Kreme doughnuts. If you havent heard, those doughnuts are the bestest doughnuts ever. Everything else esp that stupid doughnut craze in Singapore, is totally crap in comparison to KRISPY KREME. *sticks nose up in the air*

I decided to have the Doughnut sundae, which is basically just the doughnut with a scoop of icecream on top. I gotta say, the Devils Food doughnut was amazing stuff! Its a dark rich rough chocolate doughnut covered in the iceyest icing that crackles in your mouth!

I asked the man serving me what flavours the icecreams were cos they werent labeled and alot of them looked similar.

The first one was a sorbet but I asked what flavour it was anyway and he goes 'its a sorbet, a kinda icey fruit blend...*PRATTLES ON ABOUT SORBETS*"

Ok so thats my rattle for today. *nods furiously*

People stop stereotyping! Who the heck nowadays doesnt know what a sorbet and shortbread is?! Its like not knowing what fried rice is!

Bah, make me feel stupid only =_= customer service nowadays sucks. - more than a vacuum cleaner................

Anyway before I end my entry, heres a little something I RANDOMLY HAHAHAHA CAME ACROSS WHILE GOOGLING A FEW PEOPLES BLOGS.

Have not been updating for quite a while but that doesn't mean nothing has happen. Just lazy to log on and type. I'll try to write as much as i can in another entry bout Sentosa, pot-luck and the farewell at the airport. It was great fun having the Tebecis boys with us.

I have been out too much!! Better settle down and start studying or i will regret it. *sigh* Still thinking bout the Tebecis boys especially Rainis..hehe..he's realli cute!! And nice too!! arh!! Can't wait to see him and his other 4 brothers(also veri cute) but wonder when will that be..they are in australia(canberra). it's either we go over or they come here again. But i rather go over cos its more interesting and fun over there plus i've nv been to australia. Haha..kill two birds with one stone.

Just keep that ego of yours from over inflating lol (: haha jkjk.
And this brings us to the conclusion of todays entry. I have the big blogging urge back again so rest assured no more blankness for the next few weeks.
