Ok, Reena is calm, I am calm. I am tolerant. Peace. XD
*breathe in and outs several times*
I CANNOT STAND SHITTY SHOTTY CUSTOMER SERVICE!
and where else to get the
Right so lets get straight to the point.
I was at Funan IT Mall, reputedly Singapores one stop-geeks-favourite-pop place for anything techy, be it computers, gaming or electronics, its all here.
It was a agenda-less day today for me so I decided to head out and go for a stroll, catch a few trains here and there (abeit wasting money on expensive fares!) and on the way check out if that Mac Book Pro offer that I found the other day, was still available.

So after some 30minutes of walking and train-ing, finally got to FITM. Located the shop I was looking for and went in, and thats when the drama, pain and frustration started!
This shy looking indian man approached me, and asked "May I help you?" (in a extremely soft voice, had I stepped just 1mm more away from him and I would not have heard ANYTHING)
Ok, so I sussed out, hes a newbie. Fine, alls good, I be nice on him. No sweat (:
Seeing that the store didnt have the macbookpro on display like the other day, I asked the guy - "Do you still carry the Mac book Pro?"......
huh?
Do you have the mac book pro?
mec bok.... poh?
MAC BOOK PRO.
meh....boo poh?
ok nevermind. Im just browsing anyway (actually, not haha. I came specifically for the MBP)
Is this guy in the wrong job or what?! How can you work at Singapores most techy mall, in a shop that is half filled with Mac displays.... AND NOT KNOW WHAT A MACBOOK IS AT THE BARE MINIMUM??!! let alone a Macbook Pro.
Oh gosh, I honestly didnt know weather to laugh or cry at the poor guys blankness. Whoever hired him needs to tell him what a computer is in the first place.
Ok so little drama aside, I walked one round around the store and stopped at a 20" Apple Mac display to watch a few guided tour videos on Mac products that was showing. Its just a white stand with the huge arse screen and keyboard and mouse. Nothing else around me. A nice clean simple display stand.

And the entire 10minutes I was standing there watching, the salesguy stood next to me.. eyeing me like a hungry eagle. Anyways, if said salesman is reading this, heres a letter to you.
Dear Mr Salesman,
I, Reena Tan, WILL not, I assure you, grab the 20" display.................
....................and run off with it.
I promise.
My handbag isnt even big enough to put the screen in if I wanted to hide it.Yours sincerely.
I-Will-not-steal-a-screen Girl.
Bah.
So well, I get over it. But seriously, this isnt the first of a bad salesperson Ive encountered.
Singaporean salespeople have no... people skills. You need not eye your customers like a CCTV.
Its freaky to say the least. and extremely off putting.
The last trip I took back to Singapore, I was in a clothes boutique and browsing a rack of tops, same style, but in different colours.
The saleslady came up to me and said
"zhe ge you hen duo yan se, lan se, hong se, qing se....*flips through the pieces*"
Translation : this one comes in many colours, blue, red, green....
Its like, I CAN SEE THERES MANY COLOURS! TALK ABOUT STATING THE OBVIOUS!
I would like to think my eyes are in perfect shape. XD
Next one : Promote Good Customer Service 2008!
Anyway, so I was on the way home in peak hour traffic after that little unhappyness, and so the train arrived, and the doors opened. ........and it was jampacked to the outside.

So I thought perhaps really the crowd was just bad then , I saw this gap in the back and none of the toots would move in, so .. already peeved by bad salesmen, i sorta raised my voice a few decibels and ....
WOULD YOU PLEASE MOVE YOUR SELFISH SELVES IN?!?!
.yes I said that.
I got a few 'wtf' looks, a few OMG looks and then they all kinda shuffled back in to allow the outside crowd to board.
Good.
Singaporeans really have the shittiest EQ (ok I admit Im one to be abit like that too) BUT NOT TO THIS KINDA EXTENT!. To follow on from Singapore Ministor Mentor - Lee Kuan Yew's words at the recent something conference ...
"I dont think I'll see graciousness, or anything along those lines, in my lifetime either!"
and Im like, 70 years his junior lol XD
