As most of you would know, I recently took a trip to Bangkok, Thailand for a 4 day free and easy tour of the Land of Tom Yum Soup And Ah Guas. (trannys)
I cannot blog about the trip yet cos my mass-photo-resizing program was wiped out when I reformatted the laptop so either I resize individually on Photoshop until I die, or I dont resize all and just post 2-3 up (: and knowing me, I wont resize for hours. pfft! I'll get back to Perth nd do it all there when I reinstall my resizing program.
Anyway, a brief overview of Bangkok, Bangkok was smashing good! Apart from their serious air pollution and DANGEROUS AS HELL DRIVERS AND SCARY SHOP OWNERS! (elaborate on that later), it was best!
Bangkok is famous for their fake goods, but I found out that even though their fake goods are really realistic (like Juicy Couture bags that I found but didnt buy) the prices are not like $20 kinda thing, but like SGD$100! Thats like 25-30% of the originals price!
Though you still save on the majority, $100 doesnt really justify a fake. You might as well go save abit longer and get the real deal which at least gives you the assurance of good stitching etc etc, eve if the fake and real looks scarily similar.
High-end goods aside, general casual clothes shopping is good! ............... if you have the perfect asian female body, that is =o= and the really gay thing is they dont allow you to try clothes, so pretty much its matter of hold the article up and guesstimate if it fits you or not haha.
Regardless, I still easily managed to find plenty of good clothes for myself at dirt cheap prices and NOT SACRIFICING ON QUALITY. =D
Ok, I'll eleborate on everything in detail at a later date, this post wasnt supposed to be this long lol. But before I end heres a nice funny situation from Bangkok
Mum:
do you have 1 baht to pay for the toilet usage?

I can't deny that you have very good idea. By the way, from my experience of Bangkok trip. I think that looking for accommodation around Sukhumvit are is the good idea because Sukhunvit is in the heart of the shopping district, both in terms of large department stores and the various stalls lining both sides of the road. The various side-streets provide a proliferation of nightlife venues. For the renowned and well-known spots, you will need to walk onwards past the Asok crossroads to Sukhumvit Soi 21 or Soi Cowboy. This area also offers a wide selection of cuisine to choose from, both in terms of air-conditioned high-end restaurants and open air restaurants offering quite reasonable prices.
