Tell me, you know the electronics brand Sony, is it pronounced So-nee as in 'So what are you doing tomorrow?' kinda 'so' or is it pronounced So(rh)ny as in 'Sorry my fault' that kinda 'so'?
Personally I pronounce it the second way. Sounds more crisp and since its a japanese origin word isnt it supposed to be said without a drag? I think the first pronounciation has aussie accent influence weaved into it. That Mr Zi Fong says my pronounciation is wrong cos its 'asian'. Pftt. HE'S asian.
