My First Driving Lesson

I SERIOUSLY AM GOING TO PUT MY FOOT THROUGH THE COMPUTER SCREEN!

I blogged this post about my first driving lesson TWICE and they were really long entries and just before I wanted to press publish POOF! The screen goes black due to a gay blackout! How unlucky can I get??!!

THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IM TYPING!!!

All my typing effort gone to waste. GRRRRR!!!

Alright lets hope this tme round , Im luckier.

Anyway. Yes.

Driving. It’s a wonderful experience. The moment you slide into the drivers seat all your worries vanish and as you maneuver your way around the roads you are transported away into eternity….. bliss….. perfection….a world where only me and my blue Suzuki Swift exists. Where time stops forever. Just me and my blue Suzuki Swift….*dreams*

Ok snap out of it. Im joking =)
Its not like that LOL.
But it comes close enough.

So today. It started off at 3:15pm when Stan the instructor tuned up at my front door with his very cute Blue Suzuki Swift!



Wow totally you know, the car smelt and felt like a brand new car. Just sitting there knowing YOU are gonna be the driver for once is like.. I had an evil grin on my face knowing that my entire life I got threatened to get out of the car and now Im on the road (pun not intended) to being able to say those six infamous words one day.

Don’t like my driving? Get out.

Anyways, back to the lesson.



This is the interior of the car. Nice huh? Felt amazing to be at the wheel for once and not just a mere passenger. The car had L plates attached to the back and front bumpers (L=Learner. Not Loser) to warn other driver that a learner id driving so umm… be careful! =D

The car is also fitted out with the same pedals on the front passenger seat so incase umm… I lose control, Stan can brake for me or whatever. Nifty huh?

It was really fun to drive. Starting off Stan did the pedal and gear work while I had fun steering. It was a super exhilarating feeling! Im in control! Woots~

Yeah you can obviously tell Im a dominating person.
After which he taught me about gears and how to accelerate from start and come to a smooth stop. Its seriously more complicated than I thought. Release clutch slowly as you press accelerator and vice versa for stopping except you gotta brake as well. Changing gears also requires some multi-tasking effort. Plus I had to make sure I wasn’t pressing or releasing too much or else I ZOOOOOOOM ahead super fast or roll backwards.

I had a lil drama today too. =)
I was cruising along at about 20km/hr while Stan was teaching me something about the pedals. I was kinda looking down and didn’t realize I was going up a kerb and onto someones front lawn which had a small tree and a car parked there! And I was heading slowly straight towards the car!

Stan hit his brakes hard and we both lurched forward sharply . Luckily the seatbelt held me back and prevented me from going head first into the steering wheel. Though I wasn’t going very fast but Im sure I would have got the steering wheel shoved up my face if I hadn’t. The abruptness was so hard my collar bone ached abit from the seatbelt pressing against it.

Lesson for all : WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS. SERIOUSLY.

If I already needed its ‘help’ at 20km/hour, I think you will dedicate your life to it if it was like 70km/hour. Them seatbelt ads on TV’s are not lying.

Yeah other than that, no humans or organisms were harmed during my first driving lesson. Only harm I made was crushing some grass on a round about when I turned too sharply. ^^

Forget about fingering rude drivers giving rude drivers the finger . This beats fingers hands down.

You use a remote control to choose a smily face, angry face, or words like ‘BACK OFF!’ or for the super annoyed : IDIOT!

I so want one ok! Hmm.. somebody give me one for my errr.... car-warming Party? =) When I get a new car ^^

Then I’ll go round flashing the IDIOT one to everyone. ^^

Anyways.
That’s basically it for today. I am officially in love with driving and if anybody come over to Perth I’ll be honoured to pick you up from the airport ^^
But you better be nice to me.

Or for all you know I’ll just plop you in the middle of nowhere and leave you there.
