All was fine, the apes were cute, the smell was 'fantastic' and I had a real good excercise walking around in circles cos I got lost somewhat among the bushery...the map was really crap. (hey it rhymes!)
I solemnly declare to all here that I would like to be a Baboon in my next life.
I love their red butts (ishial callosities) ,and just the fact they look cute and comical. The lecturer flashed some pics of the Perth zoo primates. HELL CUTE!
I think this white-cheeked gibbon is trying to play hide and seek of some sort.

Talking about the lecturer..
MAKES MY BLOOD START TO BOIL....
We all filed into the lecture theartre, which technically is like .. nothing like a lecture theartre which I expected.
And the primate talk began.
Then he talked about a diabetic orang-utan (by the way it should be pronouced as OR-RUNG U-TARN)
He said that they had a similar case in Perth Zoo whereby they rescued a particular ape from the horrors of SINGAPORE ZOO!
If that wasn't good enough to satisfy his desire to proclaim Perth Zoo as a world-leader in Zoology,he went on to say that this particular ape was on the brink of death from being poorly fed and the public threw random food into the enclosure and the keepers in Singapore had no zoological skills whatsoever. And all this while he did not realise for even one second that there was a SINGAPORE CITIZEN sitting right infront of him in the first row.
Don't talk rot about a Singapore as if we are a third world country and even then you still shouldn't talk rot. If you refer to my Pet Peeves list, I abhor those who ASS-U-ME. Im not saying Perth zoo is horrible but still, look at yourselves before letting a staff member diss other zoos and make sure you're not making a fool of yourself. Behave like a human, not some prehistoric primate. The zoo visit by the way, was good. except for that particular officer. SPOILT MY DAY.
Mr Lecturer, please if you ever have time, visit Singapores Zoo & Night Safari.
I hope you enjoy yourself there.
I know the animals love it there.
